Ukraine's Independence Day Military Parade

In the last few years, Ukraine focused on featuring non-profit organizations and cultural groups in their Independence Day parade, but this year, they decided to go back to holding a military parade. After a morning prayer service at St. Sofia's Cathedral with different Ukrainian religious denominations leading the service, the President of Ukraine arrived at Kreschatik to review the military troops.

Lieutenant General Ivan Svyda, Commander of Ground Forces and Defense Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov had a chat before riding in their cool convertibles complete with special handles (so they can stand up while riding) and microphones. They began the military parade.

Military units were cheered as they passed by.

The military equipment was fun to watch go by. They move VERY fast!

Sorry if my question is not correlated with this topic. Does Ukraine have nuclear missils ?

Let me answer that one, too:)

Ukraine maintained the world's third-largest nuclear arsenal until the mid '90s, when, acting under pressure from Washington, the Ukrainian government gave it up and joined the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Given today's geopolitical environment and Russia's imperial designs, that decision was not made in Ukraine's best interest.
